Lorraine Portik holds a Master of Science in School Psychology, a Master of Science in School Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently completing a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mental Health Counseling through an internship with H.A.R.M.O.N.Y.

Lorraine’s passion for psychology, child development, and education was sparked by the birth of her child. Through her fieldwork, she developed a deep understanding of the interconnectedness between behavior, mood, learning, development, personality, experiences, and trauma. This insight inspired her transition from the field of education to the helping professions of psychology and counseling.

Lorraine is dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages on their healing journeys. She adopts a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with clients to identify solutions and develop tools to achieve their goals. She often integrates evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness practices for emotional regulation and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to establish goals and actionable plans.

Message to Clients:

The first step toward healing, growth, and self-improvement—both emotionally and spiritually—is recognizing that we don’t have to navigate it alone. By seeking help, you’ve already taken a powerful step forward, and I want to commend you for that.

I believe each of us has the capacity to unlock our own healing journey, but sometimes it takes an outside perspective to help uncover the solutions that lie within. Stress, fear, past experiences, and anxiety can cloud our minds, but together, we’ll work to clear those barriers.

In our collaborative work, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, tap into your inner strength, and guide you toward meaningful progress. You don’t have to face this journey alone—let’s take the next step together.
