Julissa Garcia is a passionate and expressive Clinical Therapist, provisionally licensed in Mental Health Counseling (MHC-LP, LPCA) in New York and Connecticut. With extensive experience working with individuals across all ages and backgrounds, Julissa provides compassionate support for a wide range of concerns, including cultural adaptation, acculturation, faith-based counseling, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, women’s issues, coping skills, anger, relational concerns, family dynamics, life transitions, emotional distress, communication challenges, domestic violence, bullying, and parenting.

Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, Julissa creates an inclusive and supportive environment for her clients. She utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based, and empathetic approach, aiming to reduce the stigmas often associated with seeking mental health support. Her transparency and psychoeducation techniques empower clients to achieve meaningful growth and transformation.

Julissa’s therapeutic expertise spans a variety of modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy, psychoanalytical methods, feminist therapy, emotionally focused approaches, and holistic practices. She offers a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can develop effective coping skills and strategies to enhance their overall well-being.
